Wauconda Isshinryu Karate Club
Sensei Dave Machamer, Hachidan, is the chief Instructor for the Wauconda Isshinryu Karate Club. Sensei Machamer received his Shodan from Master Jesse Gallegos (Kudan) in 1979. Sensei Machamer is also a second Black Sash in Chi-Tao-Kwon-Tsu Kung Fu under Seifu Tony Estamariz. Sensei Machamer has been teaching Karate since 1982 to both children and adults. In 2003, the Wauconda Park District recognized Sensei Machamer for his exceptional service and commitment to the community
Sensei Tim Webb, Godan started Isshinryu Karate in 1986. He studied under various instructors until he found Sensei Machmer in 1993. He received his Shodan in 1999 and his Godan in 2006. From 2001 to 2007, Sensei Webb taught kids classes at the Wauconda Park District on Friday evenings. Sensei Webb's class focuses on recognizing achievement to help build self esteem. He accomplishes this by encouraging the children to work through the forms at their own pace and rewards their efforts with a structured awards system. Sensei Webb also has extensive experience is teaching adults with his Sensei, Dave Machamer. Sensei Webb also served in the Illinois Army National Guard - Infantry from 1990 to 1998. Sensei Dee Webb, Shodan started Isshinryu Karate in 2003. She studies under Sensei Tim Webb. Sensei Dee has been assisting Sensei Webb with the kids classes on Friday evenings at the Wauconda Park District. Sensei Dee has an undergraduate degree from University of Wisconsin - Parkside in History and Secondary Education (Middle and High Schools).
